Butter Bars

Cocoa, shea, and mango butters make very hard soaps that have thick, creamy lathers. Butter's large molecules penetrate only skin's outermost layer, protecting against the sun and environment, while moisturizing. Skin feels thicker and more supple. These marvelous healthy-skin attributes sustained butter's popularity as an ingredient in all natural soaps throughout the decades after WWII. Mass synthetic producers took note.  their detergents soaps were less expensive and more available. Why did consumers continue to buy more expensive, all natural soaps? The first natural ingredient reintroduced to synthetic detergent bar "soaps" was shea butter. Viva la butter! Now, if they would just do away with the rest of those other synthetics ...
